Some of you may already know three-point perspective and symmetrical sketching, but if not, don't worry! In this module, we'll revisit these fundamentals while focusing on the magic of light and shadow. Lazy Summer Days celebrates holidays and summertime through sketching, using pencils and water-soluble colour pencils. It's designed for 9 to 16-year-olds who love doodling and want to enhance their sketching skills.
Explore advanced sketching techniques while depicting scenes inspired by the joys of summer. From picnics under the trees to beach relaxation, each session offers new learning material to captivate your imagination and transport you to peaceful summer moments—perfect for unwinding and sketching freely.
Learn to add a painterly effect to your sketches, blending colours to create depth and warmth. This module will refine your skills in light and shadow, foreshortening, perspective, and texture. Enjoy combining pencil sketching with water-soluble colour techniques as we capture the breeze, a hammock, and the glow of a campfire under a starry sky. Experience the magic of lazy summer days on paper.
By the end of the module, you'll have a collection of sketches celebrating summer. Expect to complete 3 to 5 artworks, depending on your skill level and attendance. This course is ideal for 9 to 16-year-olds seeking fun and creative challenges. Each 80-minute session includes art history, engaging discussions, and opportunities to push your skills further!
