Step into the unseen world and uncover the wonders hidden in the microscopic realm. From cells and bacteria to the intricate patterns of nanotechnology, this term invites students to explore what lies beyond the naked eye. Using digital microscopes and hands-on tools, students will visualise and investigate the building blocks of life and innovation, gaining a new appreciation for the tiny systems that make up our world.
Complementing Life at a Microscopic Scale in Sketchbook Challenge™, this module focuses on blending creativity with scientific inquiry. Students will create and test projects inspired by microscopic life, such as designing filters, models, or innovative systems that mimic how nature works at the smallest scale. Through collaborative challenges and interactive experiments, they’ll connect these discoveries to real-world applications in health, technology, and the environment.
This course is designed to inspire curiosity, resilience, and a sense of wonder as students dive deeper into the interconnected world of science and design. All supplies are included, and students will have everything they need to make the invisible visible.
