How do drones move through the sky? How do we capture the feeling of flight in art? In this creative and hands-on day, we will explore motion, design, and aerial perspectives, using drones as inspiration.
In the morning, we will sketch, draw, and paint abstract artworks inspired by the movement of drones, looking at swirling air currents, aerial views, and dynamic motion. Through colour and composition, we will explore what flight feels like.
In the afternoon, we will learn about how drones work and use craft materials to design and build our own model drones. We will explore form, balance, and structure, thinking about how real drones are designed for movement and function.
The program runs 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM, with flexible drop-off from 8:15 AM and pick-up until 4:30 PM. Early arrivals enjoy free play, and after 3:00 PM, we can unwind with games, movies, or more art.
By the end of the day, we will have a unique flight-inspired painting and a handcrafted drone model, bringing together art, design, and engineering in a way that sparks curiosity and creativity!
Whether you're an early bird or an afternoon explorer, we've got you covered! select am or pm sessions to book- it's that simple!
