How do drones move in perfect synchrony? What does it take to choreograph a dance in the sky? In this dynamic and creative day, we will explore the intersection of art, technology, and motion, using drones as inspiration.
In the morning, we will experiment with patterns, rhythm, and movement in art, creating abstract compositions that capture the flow and coordination of flying formations. Through lines, shapes, and colour, we will translate the movement of drones into striking visual designs.
In the afternoon, we will bring our ideas to life through coding and interactive exploration, learning how real drone shows are programmed. Using Scratch, we will create digital animations that mimic drone choreography, designing patterns and sequences that respond to commands.
The programme runs 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM, with flexible drop-off from 8:15 AM and pick-up until 4:30 PM. Early arrivals can enjoy free play, and after 3:00 PM, we will wind down with games, movies, or more art.
By the end of the day, students will have a visually stunning artwork and an interactive digital animation, combining artistic expression with coding and movement—just like a real drone performance!
