Have you ever wondered what a face would look like if you could see it from multiple angles at once? That’s exactly what Pablo Picasso and the Cubists explored—breaking apart features and putting them back together in new, unexpected ways.
In the morning, we will dive into Picasso’s world of bold shapes and bright colours, sketching and painting portraits that twist, turn, and overlap. Eyes don’t have to match, noses can shift sideways, and faces can be as wild and exaggerated as we want!
In the afternoon, we will take our Cubist portraits off the page, using paper, cardboard, and layering techniques to build 3D sculptural faces. By folding, cutting, and arranging our features in surprising ways, we will create artworks that look different from every angle—just like Picasso’s famous portraits.
The programme runs 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM, with flexible drop-off from 8:15 AM and pick-up until 4:30 PM. Early arrivals can ease into the day with free play, and after 3:00 PM, we will wind down with games, movies, or more art.
By the end of the day, we will have a bold, Cubist-inspired 3D portrait—a face that tells its story from every direction!
Whether you're an early bird or an afternoon explorer, we've got you covered! select am or pm sessions to book- it's that simple!
