In this term’s Lab Challenge™, we look to the skies. From gliding forms to floating structures, we’ll explore the science of elevation—how things lift, hover, drift and fly. Through hands-on experiments, design testing, and physics-based challenges, we’ll investigate the forces that shape flight and learn how to engineer systems that defy gravity.
This module pairs conceptually with Lifted by Design in Art 501™, offering a different way to engage with similar ideas. While enrolling in both Lab and Art can enrich the experience, it’s by no means required. Every learner approaches exploration differently, and this course stands on its own as a rich, project-based experience—perfect for those drawn to problem solving, invention, and working with real-world materials.
Together, we’ll design, build, question, and test—lifting our thinking as high as our imaginations can reach.
