For centuries, people have always worked within their respective domains. Farmers work on their farms, doctors work in hospitals, and artists work in art studios. Although many people work from home today, the idea of an artist studio has endured as it continues to be a creative space. In this series of 10 sessions, you will create 3 to 4 artworks, depending on your skill level and attendance. You will be challenged to paint beyond the norm, transforming reality into languages of colours and brushstrokes. We will focus on workspace setups, getting to know your tools and learning how to look after them while creating vibrant pieces that express your unique voice and views.
This 120-minute workshop is suitable for students aged 9 to 16. No previous experience is required; however, enrolment in either Sketchbook Challenge or Super Matisse is recommended. Parents’ supervision is not required. Students enrolled in full-term will enjoy access to all course content via the Studio website. Materials are not included. Please bring your own paint set. The starter pack can be ordered below or directly from the studio.
