From Ada Lovelace’s first algorithm to today’s artificial intelligence, machines have always been shaped by human imagination.
In this course, we’ll explore the history of “thinking machines” through playful experiments and sketching challenges. We will sharpen our sketching skills, from portrait drawing and perspective to shading, texture, and pattern-making, while reimagining inventions that changed the way we think about machines. By the end, we'll have a collection of sketches that bring the story of AI to life, showing how creativity and technology can inspire each other.
Designed for students aged 8 to 14. Students will need to bring their own sketchbook and sketching pencil set, which can be purchased from the studio.
